The Cosgrove Library, situated in the Succah adjoining the Synagogue, was presented to the Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation on 25th August 1985 by Malcolm and John Cosgrove in memory of their father, Rev. Dr I.K. Cosgrove, who was minister of Garnethill Synagogue, Glasgow and Senior Jewish Chaplain to the Armed Forces in Scotland during the Second World War.
