Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation provides a range of adult educational activities for all ages and abilities, open to members and non-members alike.
Tanach study: Wednesdays 12.15-1.15pm
We have been studying texts in Hebrew from the Prophets (Neviim) : Jeremiah and Ezekiel . We have just started the Holy Writings (Ketuvim) : Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) and Mishle (Proverbs).
Shabbat Parasha discussion group.
Join members of the community for a discussion on the week’s Parasha after the Shabbat service. This is followed by a light lunch.
Talmud Learning: Wednesday 7pm.
Chevruta style learning. Studying at present - Masechet Meguila.
Additional learning opportunities
They occur throughout the year e.g. Seuda Shlishit at some Shabbat afternoons and Tikkun Leil on Shavuot.
Shul Choir
For many years the EHC Shul choir has been enhancing religious services. We welcome members who are enthusiastic in singing religious songs for services such as Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and special events (annual Civic Service, Jewish weddings..).

Hebrew singing group
The group has a repertoire of secular songs based on Israeli poets (Naomi Shemer, Hannah Szenes and Rachel Blewstein), religious songs from Friday night liturgy and Jewish wedding songs.
Wednesdays 8-9.30pm
Table tennis.
Practice and teaching sessions on Monday or Thursday evenings , 8-10pm. Open to all.
